President Bush, Friday, 13 October 2006 signed a bill that affected online casinos, poker rooms, sports betting, bingo, whose main objective is to strengthen security measures for U.S. ports. Attached to that bill was a federal ban on banking institutions knowingly transferring funds to businesses or individuals who can perform gaming operations in the U.S. and areas where play is prohibited.
